Joyce Leta Harris, 62, beloved daughter of the late Bernice nee Ferdinand and the late Joel H. Harris; loving sister of Alan (Judy), Ralph, Max (Janis) and Yra (Janice) Harris; cherished aunt of 17 and great aunt of 13. She will be remembered for her humor, kindness, creativity and love of sunlight and dogs. Private family service. Memorials may be made to the Ark or PAWS Chicago. Meeting Joyce was an unexpected, but very welcomed surprise. Friendship meant more than being with someone who graciously helped without expecting anything in return. We enjoyed hearing her share many wonderful stories about her life and experiences living in Chicago. Joyce forged undeniably unique bonds with our dog and those belonging to our neighbors. She will be remembered as exceptionally kind, loving, spirited and tenacious.
